All nouns in Ukrainian has own gender and, together with seven cases its make Ukrainian language quite difficult for the study. But, it’s just rules and not so hard for learning as Finnish or Chinese language. Try to believe me in it, I know it.
So, in Ukrainian are three genders - masculine (“he”), feminine (“she”) and neuter (“it”). It’s plural form – same for all genders (thanks to God!).
F.e.
Masculine – (m.g.) – for a future.
Дім - house
Чоловік - a man, husband
Стіл – a table
Ліс – a forest
Сніг – a snow
